Don't
just visit Alaska – experience it! Learn about the history and
economy of Ketchikan as you travel to the staging area for your adventure
on a specially-designed off-road "TomCar". After a brief safety
orientation, you'll set out on a 1.5 hour trek through a privately-owned
rain forest preserve. A remote backcountry road threads along the
scenic shoreline of George Inlet. Glacier-carved Mahoney Basin,
surrounded by sheer cliff, dense forest and waterfalls is your destination. Drivers
and passengers are given a chance
to
switch places here. Next, you will board a jetboat for a thrilling
one-hour ride back to Ketchikan, viewing George Inlet from the water.
NOTES:
Guests who intend to drive a go-kart must present a valid driver's license. Persons
weighing less than 40 pounds or under 50 inches in height are not permitted
on this tour. Maximum weight is 300 lbs.
